Laurierville is located on the border of the St. Lawrence Lowlands with the Notre-Dame Mountains. It is located approximately 70 km from Quebec City and around thirty km from Victoriaville. Outside of the urbanized environment, the territory is mainly used for agriculture, maple syrup growing or forestry harvesting.

The Bois-Francs Linear Park has just installed a first Biciborne bicycle repair station on the L'Érable MRC trail. This new self-service bicycle mechanics workshop was built on the site of the Érables stop in Laurierville.

Made in Quebec, the Biciborne is equipped with an air pump and multiple tools protected from bad weather to allow minor repairs.

The Bois-Francs Linear Park has 77 kilometers of trails which are mainly based in nature. It therefore became important for us to optimize the safety of users in connection with bicycle mechanics in order to offer them a way to help themselves no matter the time of the day or week, explains the director of the organization, Mélanie Houle.The station is also accessible for cyclists who combine road hiking. Access to the games and toilets at the Érables stopover also allows parents to entertain the children during the repair and take the opportunity to take a break, added Ms. Houle.

The Bois-Francs Linear Park was recently recognized as one of the 12 most beautiful cycle paths in Quebec and the attendance rate continues to increase!
