The charming municipality of Parisville, founded in 1900, is located at the eastern end of the Bécancour MRC, in the Centre-du-Québec region. It is located approximately five kilometers from the St. Lawrence River. It occupies an area of approximately 37 square kilometers with a little more than 530 Parisvilloises.

It was the railway, inaugurated at the end of the 19th century, which led to the founding of the parish of Parisville and contributed to its development. In 1996, the municipality inaugurated a magnificent linear park for the greatest pleasure of outdoor enthusiasts, Le Petit Deschaillons. This park, with a walking path and a cycle path of more than five kilometers, is built on the territory of the old railway line.
